PUBLIC ART – ONE OF THE FIRST SKYSCRAPER IN FRANCE

Guillaume Bottazzi, public art on patrimoine heritage

In 2009 Guillaume Bottazzi created two artworks, 4 meters high by 1.50 metres wide, at the unique heritage site of the first skyscrapers in France, built between 1927-1934. The artwork takes into account the nature of the skyscrapers in Villeurbanne as a historic heritage and enhances the verticality and symmetry of the building. Architects, members of the French professional body Architectes des Bâtiments de France, have expressed congratulations on the way the artwork is integrated with the architecture.

Every year, guided tours are organized  for the general public by the French Ministry of Culture, during the European Heritage Days.
