PUBLIC ART – PAINTING OF 16 X 7 M – BRUSSELS
This monumental Guillaume Bottazzi’s painting takes place in the European district
This permanent painting by Guillaume Bottazzi was produced in 2017. It measures 16 metres high by 7 metres wide and is located in Place Jourdan in the European District of Brussels. It is intended to evoke, amongst other things, the Europe that is being constructed following Brexit and its resilience after the terrorist attacks in March 2016. In addition, it makes the site even more attractive and helps to promote local activity. This poetic artwork takes place in the heart of the European district and is now part of the heritage of Brussels-Capital. This work enhances the attractiveness of the place and local activity.
Carried by the city, with the partnership of the Representation of the European Commission in Belgium and the support of the cultural service of the French Embassy in Belgium
